Sunrise Ventures, LLC is a Southern California based venture capital firm that makes equity investments in early stage private companies. We concentrate our investments in opportunities primarily utilizing the internet/intranet infrastructure, enabling technology, e-commerce, enterprise application software, and service and content sectors.

We view our investments as partnerships with entrepreneurs. In addition to providing capital, Sunrise Ventures is prepared to assist our portfolio companies in a variety of areas including business strategy development, hiring of key personnel, developing key strategic relationships, and securing additional funding. We appreciate the challenges of starting and growing a business and are willing to offer our expertise to help make the companies in which we invest a success.

We select companies that have a sustainable competitive advantage by offering highly differentiated, demonstrably superior products and services. We base our funding decisions not just on the potential of an idea, but also on the entrepreneurial team’s ability to execute. We’re looking for entrepreneurs with a clear vision of the business they want to build, as well as an extensive understanding and experience of the market space they are addressing. Because markets and technologies are rapidly changing, we look for entrepreneurs, who can continually learn from, adapt to, and find new ways of profiting from changing conditions.

Our preferred investment amount is between $500,000 and $3,000,000 in the early stage of a company’s development. We are willing and able to provide additional capital in subsequent rounds as well.
